Pretups is a prepaid recharge app for prepaid recharge business which helps account management of prepaid retailer and provide a list of contextual offers as per customer cellular usages and also helps in upselling the products through a retailer by providing loyalty points and commission details on every recharge he performs.
Creating a user centered design for Pretups platform app which is used to manage retailer account, provide contextual offer to customer through retailer app and upsell products by providing commission and loyalty points options on every recharge, loyalty management option for retailers also provided through this app.
I designed the app experience keeping user as center of design, Identifying who is the user, when & why they will use it and at what conditions they will use it. The process involves creating personas, Ideation, Information architecture, wireframes, Prototypes and high-fidelity mockups with styleguide.
Changing the way of a prepaid account management system of retailer, by providing solution where he can see his account and loyalty points details and keep him updated about his earnings over commissions and new product launches.
Designing a platform where the retailer was in sync with customer requirement and related products to particular customer profile, which enables retailers to upsell and build relationship with customers.
User centered design approach to product where end user is placed in the center of the design process, as product success was related to end user i.e. retailer.
In an emerging prepaid market, there is a lack of platform which provides automated contextual offers, predictive offer management for prepaid consumers, improving customer relationship. And making a sync between customer and retailer where retailer will be provided with predicted products that a customer might need.
The solution needed, which enables to manage their business, balance management, loyalty management system and gives an initiative to upsell the relative products to customer. In the same time, which keep retailer updated about the commission and loyalty points earned, managing transaction reports and keeping updated about the latest products
Creating an app which bridge a gap between subscribers and retailer, retailer app manages to provide customers with predicted offers of subscribers, which helps in contextual marketing and VAS up-selling, Retailer can keep track of commission, payment and loyalty management of business and keep updated about the transactions and stock information.
I created a personas which helped to create a representation of end users and target the major user group of our app, it helped to express user needs and pain points and combine the business needs and goals. Personas helped to define the app functionality, user flows and find new opportunities.
To build content strategy and user flow, created a simple information architecture which is more user friendly, which focus on user needs and goals and helps them to navigate and access the content quickly in few clicks away.
Based on all research and app requirement generated series of wireframes, to validate the content and user flow with internal internal team members and do necessary iterations.
I created a series of prototype to evaluate the design with internal team members and did usability testing to gauge the usability & did necessary alterations to make app more user friendly, this demo helped to finalize the experience design and take it forward with visual designs
I designed high fidelity mockups following Mahindra Comviva brand guidelines using minimal color, interface was simple & aesthetic, which is easy to learn and get started, used a single color for all action buttons in two different styles so which enables people to easily remember and used icons for representing the input type and other functionality.
Pretups app gives the full potential of prepaid user to get contextual offer, according to a different profile, the app enables retailer to manage the recharge effectively, which initiates retailer for up selling VAS, keep updates of the transaction, balance and loyalty management system, The app was successful in the market and deployed in many telcos with 99.99% uptime replacing many of the competitors in the market.
